XPAT Software: Patent Search, IP Management and Tools for Intellectual Property

XPAT is a product family comprising software and tools for working with Intellectual Property. We have been developing these tools in close consultation with our customers for more than 30 years. Accordingly, the range of functions is extensive.

Management of the company’s own intellectual property rights

XPAT also provides tools for managing a company’s own patents, trademarks and designs, as well as licence agreements, other contracts, patent oppositions and inventions.

Patent evaluation is an important step in deciding which rights should be maintained. XPAT File also supports opposition files, correspondence with attorneys, inventor remuneration, maintenance procedures and licensing. An interface to a fee-payment service provider is available.

Other XPAT tools include the RecDoc search-documentation module. It helps avoid duplicate searches and makes it easier to continue search strategies in subject areas that have already been investigated.

XPAT IP Meeting supports the organisation of scheduled patent meetings. XPAT Products also supports Dynamic Virtual Marking, which can be important when enforcing claims for damages in Anglo-American jurisdictions.
